Today, we mark the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. My blog from MLK Day 2011 https://ourownsweettime.com/2011/01/17/who-in-the-world/ still pretty much sums up my views on his vision and its impact on my family’s life. But I can add that watching/hearing my grandgirl develop makes me all the more grateful for the work those fighting for equality have done to make her future possible.

So, this year, I’d simply like to honor those who have fed freedom. One of my newly found blog favorites–Food as a Lens–is tailored for today’s holiday. http://www.foodasalens.com/  And, yes, the recipe for the sweet potato cobbler pictured above is there.
